Here are a few Before and After photos of Cob Blasting.

Cob Blasting is like sand blasting except rather than sand as the abrasive, ground up corn cobs are used.  The cob material is much easier on wood, does a great job of removing the old finish, and it is also biodegradable.

This lake cabin near Pengilly, MN had been pressure washed the previous fall.

We were contracted to repair/replace decayed logs, replace windows and doors, cob blast the exterior, and apply penetreat.

This is after all initial contract work had been completed.

This is the interior of the cabin, after being pressure washed the previous fall, notice the streaking and water stain on the walls. The wall logs are tongue and groove and will keep normal rain and wind out. Granted this amount of blow thru is not common but it does show why we won't pressure wash.

This is the same corner after interior cob blasting, but before clean up.

Normaly we would sequence the repair phases differently, we would have cob blasted before the new windows and trim were installed. In this case the owner requested interior blasting after all other contracted work had been completed.

Here we are cob blasting a home up the north shore.............hey, I like my truck!

its a 71 chevy, works like mad, and it was given to me.

This photo is a bit cloudy,

after blasting, what a change!

The change in this cabin is remarkable.

The kitchen, right roof area needed to be replaced.
